--------Power Steering Leak---------

I just got done working on the alternator and took it for a test drive. The power steering pump is leaking. I isolated the problem to the metal return line connector to the actual pump. I have a feeling the return hose got pushed hard in some direction and it slightly(and I mean slightly) bent the little metal piece that sits flat against the pump. I tried to pull it off (it has one bolt holding it down) and the damn thing is connected from the inside as well. My manuel says that the power steering pump needs too many special tools to pull it apart. I don't want to have to replace the whole pump just because of that little metal piece that isn't sitting flush. I think that I should try to seal it with some silicon or something but I wanted to ask the board first. Does anybody have any interesting suggestions? I have pics if somebody could post them for me. Thanks in advance!!

You can purchase a rebuild kit from the dealer for about 40 bux. If yer not that mechanically inclined with the ps system, I would suggest having it done by a pro.

The return line will be on the reservoir and therefore a pump rebuild or replacement would not help unless you change the reservoir.
