Are those 33's on 15x8 rims? What backspacing? Any rub issues? Your truck is close to what I'm shooting for with my current budget and some 31x12.50 Super Swamper SSR's (really measuring out at almost 32")?

Yep 33x12.5 on 15x8 rims. Backspacing is 3.75, They used to rub on the valence, but that is gone now. The only time they rub is at full lock when the tire is stuffed, on the pinch weld. If you had backspacing of like 4 or 4.25 with my setup then you shouldnt rub at all.

Hmmm... I'd be going with 3.75" BS. I was hoping to not have to remove the valence. You got any other pics of your truck from the front (how far the tires stick out the sides) or rear (any issues with raising the bumper)? Was there a noticeable difference in how much frame you could see under the truck after the body lift???

You can easily trim the valence, I just took mine off because it got so smashed up and it was pretty pointless to keep it on. You will notice in my pictures that I have no rear bumper right now, mainly because I didnt get any rear bumper brackets in my kit, and it give me a better departure angle.

Best shot I have on flat ground. Only 1 body lift with ball joint spacers and Chevy rears. 33's on 15x8

This is a 3" body lift with 33"x12.50" TSL Radials, absolutely no rub at all so I'm guessing a 2" would have a slight rub.

Looking SOLID

Right on guys... Looking SOLID... Much Mahaloz.

I think I finally got my decsion making process done:

I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with a 2" body (I don't normally prefer body lifts but they look decent on older toys verse other makes like Nissan... really bad) and my 31x12.50 SSR's (measuring out more like a 32" tall tire) or Truxs A/T's on 15x8's w/ 3.75 backspacing. That'll give the slightly higer and wider stance I want/need without being too wide (i.e. Cops) and still give me the opportunity to go up the 33's if I so desire down the road. I figure I could always add a 1.5" Ball joint spacer or torsion crank in the front along with some shackles or larger leaf springs in the rear for some added clearence, if needed, for a combined potential total lift of 3-3.5" (definately dont want to go much bigger anyway).

I've been debating between that and a 4" Superlift (no body) but the budget don't include it right now and I'm partial to getting too high for my liking/off road needs just for looks. If I did hold out until the budget does accomodate it then, I'd want to go to 15x10's with that much lift, also need to invest in gears and then I'd be back to being to wide for the popo.... and if I did the superlift but stayed with 15x8's then, I think it's be disproportinately narrow for my taste?

Yah, 2" Body with the 32ishx12.50's on 15x8's w/ 3.75" backspacing is the call.

Thanks for the posts and helping me process my thoughts... Wish I could figure out how to do a poll to see what everyone thinks of mirror tint verses black tint on a black paint job? Anyone that knows want to start one for me???

Shaka...

all the toy trucks before that were 4x2

no no no... you misread what i wroteor i explained it funny... the 84-88 is the second generation of trucks with 4x4, the 78-83 was the first gen of trucks with 4x4

all the toyota trucks before that (77 and earlier)were 4x2s and thus not classified as being included in the generation
