Passenger compartment clicking/ Jardine exhaust

Lately I have heard an obnoxious clicking coming from the passenger door/glove compartment area that only occurs around 2000-2500 RPM. I keep thinking it's just a loose interior panel, but everything seems pretty secure from the inside. Took off the door panel, but still didn't find anything loose in there. It sounds like it's coming from the glove box more. Very annoying, because I am always in the 2000-2500 RPM range

Also, has anyone had experience with a Jardine catback on their 3.4? I'm looking to buy one now. My crappy Midas-made exhaust with a Dynomax fell off yesterday and now I have no exhaust. I was on URD's site a couple days ago and the system was still up online, but now it's gone. Does anyone know of an alternative place to find the Jardine system? Thanks

I was having a similar noise around 2000 rpm's. It sounded like something was stuck in the blower fan, but it was only related to the rpm level. I could never find the noise until I was changing my shocks this weekend and noticed a splashguard in the fender area was causing it. One of the mounts had broken off on the plastic and it was vibrating. You might want to check and see if it is the same thing.

Cool thanks for the response. It's a nice day today so it should be easy enough to check for this. How did you keep it from vibrating? Did you remount the splashguard?

I didn't do anything other than move it around a little bit. It's the hard plastic guard on the upper front part of the fenderwell area. I planned to tape it down or something, but when I drove it after the shock install the noise was gone so for now I haven't done anything. When I have some time I'll probably use some epoxy to make sure it doesn't vibrate against the body permanently. After thinking about it more I bet my taller than stock 265/75 tires probably rubbed against it and that's probably what snapped the mounting tab off.

I have the Jardine catback system and am happy with it so far. Probably the best thing to do is contact the company directly at 800-347-8664. It appears as though the system I have is no longer offered, but they may have some back stock at the warehouse.

...bump...

No luck at Jardine's site/number , but thanks Emptypockets. My exhaust system that I have on now is completely in two parts now, so I really need a replacement asap. If anyone else has any suggestions I would be very grateful

Also ryan, thanks for the tip - two of the tabs holding on the inner guard had broken off and it was flapping around in there at certain RPM's

Your best bet on the exhaust will probably be to take it to a local shop. Most of the other cat back kits are pretty expensive.

Just ordered this system:

After doing a little searching I found out that Doug Thorley and Jardine merged at some point in the past few years, so this system is essentially a Jardine system.

I just ordered the system 2 mornings ago, so I should hopefully have the system delivered and installed by sometime Monday at the latest. I'm not sure if it'll get delivered on a Saturday. Once it's installed I'll gladly post up some pictures and videos of how it sounds and looks

Looks like you found a Jardine kit. The price is a little higher than I paid, but not too bad. Post up pics when you get it installed!

I found $255 to be a pretty good deal. The Jardine system on URD's site was about $270, and I'm not sure if shipping was included in that or not. But definitely a great deal either way, considering an entire OEM replacement or Borla/TRD exhaust would easily run me over $700

Just an update:

The site I ordered the exhaust system from just emailed me back saying that the Doug Thorley /Jardine cat back exhaust has been discontinued completely and is no longer for sale. I'm basically out of options for a new exhaust now, since I can't really afford a full OEM one (nor do I want an OEM replacement) and shops around my house don't really do things like customs exhaust setups for walk in customers. Any suggestions on where I can go from this point would be appreciated
