p1135 o2 or a/f s?
So i got a p1135 code and a p0420 as per autozone.
i have a 2000 4runner. from what i've read, the p1135 is the air fuel sensor. when looking up the part to order at underdog racing dev, (http://www.urdusa.com/index.php?products_id=1260518950), i saw that I might just need an 02 sensor instead of the really expensive a/f sensor. part number 234-4162.
i took a look under my truck and saw 1 resonator and 1 cat, from what i can tell, leading me to think that I have a non-cali model. I live in NJ but i didn't buy the truck new so who knows.
i thought maybe the resonator was a cat with the heat shield knocked off, but I don't think it is.
can that be right? im not sure where, but i think i read that with some newer models 02+ definately have an a/f sensor, and that the older ones were just an 02 sensor, but wanted to check some other opinions first.
in no way would i want to spend the $150+ on the a/f sensor if I can get away with an ~$80 o2 sensor.
any help would be great!

am i right in thinking that to determine if I have a cali spec truck, i would look at the exhaust.
1 catalytic converter = non cali
2 catalytic converters = cali
?
so if I have a 2000 non cali spec 4runner, with the p1135 code, would that then suggest I use an o2 sensor and not an a/f sensor for bank 1 sensor 1?
thanks!

That's what I always thought for the cali vs non-cali question. Not sure about your other question. Go to the dealer and give them your VIN. They should be able to tell you what you need.
