Over or underfilling diff fluid
Well i just changed out my gear oil yesterday in the rear, but i kinda had some slight worries.
I drained it very well, and used a very poorly built pump to flush a very small amount of fluid from through the rear diff.
Well i had a gallon of amsoil synthetic and stuck one end of the pump into gallon jug and other into the end where the diff was. A little bit came out here and there and once the pressure blew the hose out of the pump. So i did lose some fluid from the gallon jug other than what went into the diff.
Basically though, i didn't measure out 2.6 quarts because i thought all i had to do was wait until i could feel the fluid by sticking my finger in it. Well i ended up putting well over half the gallon of fluid in, and 4 quarts to a gallon. So i think i put somewhere between ~2.4 and 3 quarts in.
What can overfilling and underfilling do? do i have anything i need to worry about?
btw its the rig in my sig

You just fill it up until it starts coming through the fill hole and then put the plug back in as fast as you can. No need to really flush it unless the oil in there has turned to molasses.
Sounds to me like you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

ok, what about underfilling though..... there is a slight possiblitity that there is less than 2.4 quarts in it. When i stick my pinky in i can't feel any liquid. but sticking a piece of wire in as a dipstick it comes back out covered in oil.
