Opinions Needed!!!
Hey guys, Iam in a bit of a bind here. I dont know what to get first. This is my dilemma. I've got a "holy" muffler and am waiting to replace with a Hi-flow cat with a Flowmaster 40 series. I've got 2 michelin ltx tires that need replacing (for street use) I've got a nice set of bfg muds for everything else.
Now the thing is, Ive got enough $$$ for one of the 2 but not both. Snowboard season is comming up, and the mudders really dont like snow so I've got to use the street tires, but with 2 bald ones Iam kinda hesitant to put trust in them. Should I....
1)get 2 "slightly used" tires and make do
2)get 2 new michelin ltx
3)get 2 bfg all terrains t/a k/o (and then 2 more after x-mas)
4) hope my new flowie stops me from sliding down the mnt?
Just thought I'd like to hear what you guys would do.
Cheers, Lee Hathaway

Hahaha, Traction for the action!! Yeah It's leaning towards that way, eh? But what do ya mean,"I hate my BFG's" What so bad about the All-Terrains? I've heard very many good comments 'bout the A/T K/O for just about everything. Thanks for the replies Guys, it makes my decision better informed and thats what Iam going for!!

I would get the Michelins. They seem to have some of the best ruber compounds out there. The mufler can be a upgrade in the spring or summer. Nobody will have their windows down to hear that sweet sounding exost anyway!

Sorry, I should have elaborated. My BFG A/T's are terrible in any amount of rain, and after trying everything they still won't wear properly. I hate them because there are much better tires out there for the money (think Revo, Nitto, Yoko). I personally think the BFG's are an overpopular, overated tire that "looks cool".
I had Revo's installed on my mom's Infiniti QX4, and had to drive home from the tire shop in snow. Those tires are great, do excellent in snow, ride quietly, don't hydroplane nearly as easily, and so far they're wearing perfectly.
A friend of mine has the Michelin's on his LC, they've been on there for 85k miles are still have a lot of useable tread.....

Ahhh I see... well thank you for elaberating (sp) I just wanted to claify what you meant. You know, I think I'll get a set of (maybe) used or new Michelin LTX. when I got the Runner thats what was on there and they were great for the street. Awesome in rain, snow or sleet. Thanks again for the replies!!

get the muffler and cat from summit racing or jegs theyre cheap. the get your local tradin post or classified adds and find you some tires cheap. oh by the way i love bfg all terrains. michelins and good year tires are the biggest waists ive ever bought. michelens suck in the rain and goodyear wear out way to fast. bfg all terrains will last 45-65000 miles depending on your use. my muffler and cat purchase and install was only $155 and thats with all new piping.
