Opinion on suspension set up

Well, after a month of debate and many threads of research I have narrowed my search for lift set up and I need feedback. First off I want to say that I dont do much, if any off roading and I really dont want to spend much. I just want to lift my 98 4runner 1.5-2inchs and have a smooth ride. That being said: What do you guys think about using 1.5 or 2 inch spacer on top of some new Monroe Sensatracks? Wouldnt that give me the lift I'm looking for w/o sacraficing a smoother ride? If you have any other suggestions please feel free to lay down your opinions. Thank you

after about 200miles on my 2.5" lift all around, i am in love! used 2.5" daystar spacers up front, and new OME 891 coils out back. i was concerned about the front being to stiff, but i have found that it makes it tight, not stiff. big difference there. the steering is much more crisp, and the it gives a much better feel of the road. i love it.

i pieced the lift together for under $200 delivered, and then had to add a little extra because i did the panhard drop bracket and the front diff drop all at the same time.

tundra/LC coil lift. Ill report on how it rides and drives as its torn apart in the driveway being installed.
(as well as new bushings, rack, endlinks and ball joints)

Bflooks, how much lift are you getting from the OME springs in the rear? Are you running your stock struts/shock? What OME springs are they?

I'm selling the Tokiko blue doublecab shocks from my Taco for $150 front & rear. If you're running stock shocks right now, that may get you the lift you want. Just a thought.

i will have to measure when i get home. i am guessing it is close to 3" right now, but the should settle right down to about 2.5". they are the OME 891's. nice change from my tired stock coils at 152k.

i am currently running stock length bilsteins. however, this is only until i can afford the OME shocks. i think they are less than $150 new delivered. the fronts are still factory length bilsteins.

i found that trdparts4u is cheaper even after shipping on the coils than most were before shipping. like i said, shop around. you can get some good deals by piecing things together.

the pictures are with stock 265/70/16 tires on stock wheels. this is because my wheels are on backorder, but i will be running a 16x8 wheel with 33" m/t's. but....if yuo don't plan on doing any of the tire stuff, then this is what the 2.5" looks like on stock wheels/tires.

After about 500 miles on my new tundra / OME lift I love it. It handles and rides great. It is going to give you about 2.5 to 3 inches of lift not the 1.5 you are looking for. If you just want 1.5 inches you are probably going to have to settle for spacers and / or replacing the shocks.

If you are just doing some mild offroading the 2.5 inches of lift is not that much and you can fit some larger tires if you want to later.

If you want the 2.5 in lift you are going to want to contact bamachem for some top spacers for the front and he can also tell you where to get the best deal on springs / shocks. Or look at these posts

If you want to go with a 1.5 just get some spacers and depending on how many miles you have on your current shocks you might want to replace those as well. But the Tundra / OME lift looks, rides, handles very nicely so you might want to look into that.

Pay up and get the OME shocks.....you won't be sorry. Then either spacers or springs depending on how cheap you want to go (I'd either go Tundra/OME or all OME springs if it were my truck).

If I go past 2 inches wont I need a front diff drop as well as a panhard bar for the rear?
