OME setup ride question
Im really looking at changing my suspension setup for my 92 4Runner to the OME setup. How do they handle on washboard roads? I am running ranchos right now and it feels like my Runner is almost hydroplaneing when i hit consistent bumps, and even when i hit a pothole i feel the whole thing just hit, no absorbance. Also if anyone has any pics of there OME setup on a 2nd gen it would be great. Thanks very much. BTW I have already searched all the posts, but just havent found the right answers.

Hey there, The Ride is awsome!! Thats all I can say!! Just get the Med coils unless you are going to load your rig down with a bunch of stuff.

I think the ride is awesome personally.
In the past week, I have ridden in a 2005 Nissan X-trail, and a 2004 Nissan Xterra and a 2004 Honda CRV (friends vehicles), and my truck has been much smoother than ALL of them on washboard roads (comparing them on the exact same road).

I was fairly impressed with it actually. It's my pick of the litter as far as economical SUV's go. I think he paid $33,000 CND for it, and it has a 165hp 4-litre motor. Plus a rear locker, which seems to come stock on everything these days

901's. I wouldn't change a thing.
I don't often do large heavy loads, but when I do, it's nice to have the extra boost. The ride quality in my mind is still great.

the x-trails in mexico come with the option of an sr20det with variable timing that makes 270hp stock, no bad for a 2ltr motor
I used to be way into the sr20 and this was the prize sought after by most on the board.

This is exactly the thread I need! Now I got all the part numbers . Do you guys think that I can just buy the OME coils and shocks right from ARB? Their HQ is like 30 minutes from me, in Seattle. Scofco, your rig is sick, just how I want mine to look.

www.rocky-road.com has a pretty good deal... you can get a the rear coils (HD/MD), front and rear shocks AND a steering dampener for around 500 bucks... That's pretty good to me... I think you just have to specify how big a tire you're planning on running... not sure though... I've only heard good things about OME...
