OME lift questions

Hey guys. I have an opportunity to buy a slightly used OME 3" lift for my 99 4Runner. I can get it for $350. I really like this option as it's a cheaper way to get my 4Runner ready for bigger tires. Here's my questions:

1. Should I get it?
2. Do I need the adjustable trac bar from Sonoran Steel?
3. Longer brake lines front and rear?
4. Do I need the diff drop?

Thanks for all your help.

I'm not an expert but I'm saying
1. Yes, even for resale
2.I don't know
3. Almost certainly
4. I don't think it's required but I'm prob wrong.

Keep posting! I'm interested in the 3" for my 99 and I'd like to see how it goes

1. If it's in good shape, yes.
2. No. At least not for my 3" OME lift.
3. No. At least not for my 3" OME lift.
4. Not required, but cheap insurance against broken CV axles and the like. Do it.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback. Was hoping somebody that had the lift would chime in. How long have you had your lift on? What size tires you running and do you like it as a whole?

I put it on a little over three years ago. I've been running 265/70/16 Michelin LTX/MS tires since a little before the lift went on. Yes, as a whole, the lift was the best money I've spent on the truck. Those inches of lift turn it into a totally different driving experience. It'd be nice to have the full Sonoran setup, but the OME lift has been great for me. It's a solid, reasonably priced option that a lot of people have had good results with. I didn't have to extend any lines.

I got a panhard bar drop bracket for the rear too, you should consider that also. Here's a picture of a panhard drop bracket. It's the thing in the red square. You can see how it drops the bar back close to the stock angle.

Thanks for the info. Do you happen to have any pics of your 4Runner?
