Couple crappy cell pics in front of my buddy's place. 881/906 install on the comfort shocks. I measured about 4" of front lift, and a bit less than 3" in the back. Weird stance but it's growing on me. Should look better once I get 285's on. Once I get my camera working again, I should have my LED tails/clear corners & bumpers/ Hella 500's installed and will post up more pics

I have the same lift on my '02, the 881's will settle pretty quickly and you will be level.

I tried 33's after my lift and they did not fit... but I was opposed to doing any trimming and it looked like there would be a lot of it. You may want to consider a 1" body lift, to reduce the amount you need to trim.

Thanks for the compliments. yeah I'm a little skeptical about them fittin in the rear, but I'll either be going for 265/75/17's if I find the rims I want or same size on stock rims. 285's, IMO, look a little too meaty on the coke bottle rims

looks real good and can you tell us about those front mudflaps?

Many of us rub the factory ones running just 265/75/16s and you seem to have found a solution that will fit 285s.

Not sure but you might have rubbing going up to 265/75/17s. Be sure before you commit.

The diff drop is installed? Your CV angles still seem kind of steep to this untrained eye.

I just noticed the toytec sticker on your rig. Did you install the toytec top-out spacer with the 881's? If so that may be the reason for the 4" in front and the steep CV angle. To fix the rake you need to remove the spacer or go with 890 coils in back.

If you go 890's in back, you might also want to get a adjustable pan-hard bar.

Looking good! Nothing like a new suspension. before my lift I was at about 33 inches from ground top/middle fender and after was at 37 inches in change. I love the new stance!

Thanks for the compliments guys. Yeah, I do have the top plate spacers installed on the 881's. I kind of like the look (definitely prefer it to being higher in the back, but that's just my personal opinion) of how it sits. I only half assed that CV picture, I'll get some better ones up. To be honest, I don't think they are at an alarming level at all. Just a little steeper than stock. I think it will level out a bit too. Here's a more recent pic:



Ron, I got the front mud flaps from Advanced Auto Parts (same as Autozone, NAPA, etc) and they were about 9 bucks. Since I removed the running boards I wanted to protect my lower cladding still so I got some cheapo flaps. They look pretty good and are pretty effective.

the 881's with the top out spacer is supposed to give 3" of lift. correct me if i am wrong but the way he measured it is probably from the ground to the middle of the fender. the correct way would be from the center of the wheel to the middle of the fender, that way the amount of pressure in the tires would not be a factor

Should have measured before the lift, but unfortunately I didn't. All my tires were at 36 PSI , after every car wash I even out the tire pressures since there's free air available, so I figure they're pretty reliable numbers. At the front I measured 37.5" from ground to top of fender, and for the back I got 36.5". The lift looks so dramatic mostly because I own a "lowrider" year. Also, the bottom of my tow hitch is now at 18.25"

Very clean looking 4runner. I just picked up an '02 SR5 with the limited flares and only 80k miles. Just upgraded from a '96 and figuring out all the 'lil differences.

In that full frontal pic it looks like you hadn't gotten an alignment (for caster and camber)...? If you haven't done it yet, I would suggest you do it pretty quick if you are driving it much. After I lifted mine, I went about 300 miles before I got it aligned and I ended up with some very bad wear on the front tires.

Will also slightly affect how tall your front is standing.

Oh, and looks great! I dig the color too Apparently, in 2001 or so, this gray metallic became the new white for Toyota...

Yup, still haven't gotten the alignment... I must have put like a good 6-700 miles on the lift since last Monday. My Revo's are shot, so I'm just waiting until I get new tires to get the alignment. Handling is a bit squirrelly (spelling?) though. Plus have had an extremely busy week at school, at work, and preparing for court tomorrow AM...

yea when i lifted mine the alignment was really really off i only put about 60 miles on it though so i didn't hurt the tires
