OME Leaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn -
For those of you with OLD MAN EMUuuuuuu suspension - how much lean did you have up FRONT after installing your coils and having them settle?
Were you falling out your friggin window? or was it barely noticeable? did coffee fly from the allready unusable cup holders in gallons instead of liters?
basically I need to know if it is even neccesary to add an extra trim packer to my taco since it would be a huge PIA to do it 12 months down the road after the install.
peace out brothaz !

My fronts had about 3.5" inches of lift for the first week, then 3", and finally settled to ~2.5". Up front I have ome 881, n91, 1 set of trimpackers, AND 3/8" revtek topouts and studs.
Your bumper will make the suspension settle even lower, so my vote is yes, add the packers.

ok - I was definetly going to add one set to each side for extra lift...
BUT should I add an extra TP to the drivers side to counteract the extra weight on that side? or does the drivers side not lean THAT much - and subsequently is not worth adding the extra trimpacker to the DS?

no way would I add spacers unless they were evenly distributed to both sides. Front to back, fine. Side to side I would re-consider.

cool - I really appreciate these replies - as some people have suggested the need for additional trim packers - really 1 additional - on the DS as supposedly Tacos are heavier on that side - who knows...I would assume 4runners would be the same way
But really I didnt want to put an extra trim packer on the DS unless I really had to - you know, if the lean would be ridculous -like a .5" or something

I have practically the same ome's as everyone (shocks/coils all around) but for some mysterious reason I did not get even a 1/4" of lift up front while the rear lifted about 3". I had to add some Cornfed spacers to level it out.

well from what I read F/R lean is standard as the rear 4runner OME coils are longer than the fronts and give quite abit more lift -
L/R lean is what I am worried about.

remember that the coils we use for the 4runner are actually designed for the Prado, it's long lost brother. The drivers side coil is longer to compinsate for a little bit extra weight on that side. if you put the coils in on the wrong side, then that might explain your "lean".....

The rear coils are obviously different lengths, never noticed much difference on the fronts though. We did give the fronts a good look and did pick the one that looked slightly taller for the DS.

it would be nice, if OME did make the coils different sizes, they would mark them that way....I mean they must mark them somehow if one coil is taller than the other right?

Don't worry about the stickers, most of the time they're labeled for the Prado anyway, which means you have to go opposite of what the stickers say. Just go by height.
