Ok, picked up the 93, more clutch Q's and mod list...

Ok, the 93 is now mine

Very, very clean, very, very stock, pics to follow soon.

First order of Business is to put in a clutch...owner was quoted $800 so we just reduced the price by $800 and I am pretty sure I can do it a little cheaper than that (parts around $200)

I will pick up factory manuals in due course and will also pick up today a largely worthless Haynes manual but inspite 2 nights of searching the web...can't find a clutch replacement write up.

I am pretty sure I can do it without but it would be nice....

Also, most folks use a universal alligmnent tool or the yota special ???

Thanks

Now what you really want to know, planned mod list (for now)

* Cat back -magnaflow
* Intake - tbd
* Jacobs ignition (ICE pac)
* Manual hubs
* Rear springs (prolly Downey)
* Amsoil fluids
* Thule basket (got this already)
* Portable 'on board ' air - Can't decide which
* Driving lamps

What am I missing ? This will be my daily driver until early next year
so have to be a little reserved for now.

David

My $.02:

-Make sure your coils from Downey are HDs.
-My tranny cooler is a Hayden 679 (the bigger one) from Checker Auto.
-Shocks...don't forget those! Steering Stabilizer? (4wheelparts $135.99 for everything - procomp)
-Diff Breather mod, 'cause it's cheap to do.
-Coolant flush, tranny flush, brake flush.
-Fuel Filter replacement.
-Clean the throttle body.
-tighten the slack from the throttle cable.
-K&N drop in at crutchfield.com is only $35.99, ISR mod can be done for <$30.
-HELLA 500s are only $55 at Advance Auto Parts.

Great list....

Do I need the steering stabilizer ???

Previous owner just put stock size Dueller A/T's so I won't be going bigger for a while...

The one you have on there is probably...12 years old? The ProComp kit from 4WheelFarts is $135.99 for all four shocks and a free steering stabilizer. Do you need it? not really, but it's 'free' and makes the steering feel a little bit better regardless of tire size.

Looks like complete OE clutch with both bearings is around $230.

Sounds like I should pick up a rear main seal on 'sale or return' also.
