Just because it says Toyota on the box, doesn't mean Toyota manufactured it either. Many parts are contracted out and manufactured to Toyota specs by other companies. Aisin (hubs, trannies, etc.), Luk (clutches), and Nippondenso (plugs, filters, etc.) come to mind for Toyota. These parts would all be considered OEM. Technically, any part made by a company that Toyota puts in an original vehicle is considered OEM. If it not used by the factory, it is not OEM.
