Noob question (come on in, free jokes at my expense) :-)
When in 2WD mode, which wheels are powered? (Feeld like rear) If it's true what is the logic behind using rears in a front heavy SUV?

Great to know 
But what about the logic for using RWD?
Trucks would be loaded in the back when loosing traction.
Sports cars would be transferring weight to the back when launching. And SUV?

You already said the reason, trucks are rear wheel drive because of traction with a load, look at a picture of an 85 4runner, it is a truck with a canopy and seats, the 4runner up until this year has been built on the same platform as the toyota trucks so it has been rear wheel drive.

Yes that makes sense, but to me it just seems that in most situations an SUV would still be nose heavier, especially with the V6 and V8 they put in them now.
Since I'm the topic of being a noob heh, does a stock '99 SR5 fm/cass deck have controls for a CD changer? Prewired somewhere maybe?

Wouldn't the RWD also be because in the 70's and 80's RWD was the standard, actually, In the 80's FWD started rolling more. But also, I would think that the rear diff cases are stronger and already proven to last a while, so you can put more wear and tear on them. Plus its easier to put power to the rear wheels than the front wheels, with how the engine is oriented in our pickups/4runners. Or am I

Well what's really funny is that I can challenge most advanced rigs there with my own 2 feet (with high heels on to make it interseting)
