Thumbs up New tacoma Pre-Runner Rear Bumper

I just got done with my Mod for the weekend.

I put a Demello Offroad Rear Bumper on the wife's 02 Pre-Runner.

Off with the Stock bumper

I left the License plate wiring intact to reuse the plugs.

Here you can see the Demello bracket - top right corner.
I unwrapped the electrical tape that was wrapped around the split-loom
on the license plate wires so I could cut and splice them later.

Here's the left side. Same deal with the wires.

Ready for the new bumper. Both new brackets hand tightened
for later adjusting.

And here's the new Bumper!!!! I re-used the stock license plate lights
and got a new black frame for the license plate. The holes for the license plate light fixtures are pre drilled and threaded. New screws provided.

I spliced in about 3 inches of extra wire because I adjusted the bumper
as far out from the body as it would go. I added extra split loom to protect the wiring and was done.

Thumbs up

Looks real good! I had been leaning toward Bentup but that one looks just as good if not better. What'd it run you total w/ shipping?

It was $450 with the Powder coat and shipping. Just let him know your from YotaTech. These are Tow rated unlike Bentups bumper. The hitch is under the license plate on this one. It also weighed 75 lbs compared to 50 lbs for Bentups bumper.

:pat: DOH!!!

I don't think her Pre-Runner would fit in the garage with a front bumper. It's almost too long as is.....

besides...I'm going to get in Trouble for saying this but..... Guys put ARBs and TJMs on their trucks for protection. A woman would figure out how to turn it into an offensive weapon

That's right, you mentioned that on Friday...Just keep remindinger her of that. Of course, you'll have to balance the "neeed it" versus "want it" discussions...

Looks awesome! Just so you know you can adjust it a little higher I think? If you wanted too.

I think so too. I'll try adjusting it some more next weekend. It's out as far as it will go from the body right now. I think if I push it in a bit it will move up some more.

I still need to get a pair of D ring shackles but no hurry for now.

Here's the receiver under the license plate.
