New taco owner!

what is the difference between the TRD shocks and the regular shocks?

Would it be worthwile to replace the regular sr5 stuff with the TRD bilsteins?

thanks,
Dave

i did a search and kinda answered my own question.

i would still appreciate any feedback you guys have.

i did a mild offroad excursion saturday morning and had a good time. the front seemed to perform well, but the rear seemed a little stiff.

what do you guys think?

Dave

Welcome newbie!

Sorry, I don't have a Taco. But, I can tell you I haven't heard of anyone with TRD Bilsteins. I have regular Bilsteins and am thrilled with them.

Good luck with your Taco!

The TRD package for the tacoma's comes with a rear locker and bistein shocks. This is what i am refering to.

I guess i am asking if it would be worth it to "upgrade" to the bilsteins that come with the trd package.

thanks,
Dave

I would have to say no. If you are going to upgrade your bils I would go right from the company. Why pay for a TRD markup? shox.com was the cheapest I had found. I love my bills too though!

i bought bilstiens for mine and wasnt very impressed with it, if you can do it cheap it might be worth it. i would go OME anyday retail vs. retail over my yellow bilsteins.

but you should get a lift! saws for the front, some alcan leaf springs, and use bilstein 5100's in the back (might as well relocate them too) j/k.
