New suspension, new noise

96 4runner lmt

2 weeks ago I installed Bill's HD shocks (frt and rear) then a week later installed OME 2" coils.

immediately after install I notices a noise coming from the front coils/strut. I took a look and there was about an inch of thred below the shock piston nut (I didn't retorque the nut after lowering the vehicle (I was in a rush)). So I tightened it down and everything was good to go, no more noise.

Well, the noise is back. Its not quite as prominent as before but it sounds off again. I rechecked the shock nut and it was a little loose but after sugging it up a bit I still here the noise.

Maybe its in my head, but if others have had a similar situation and may have a solution, please chime in.

Thanks

Could be the rear coils making the noise. The only thing holding them in place is the weight of the vehicle. Thus, when they flex, they could be rubbing either at the top or bottom causing the noise you hear.

However, it could be something totally different...just my .02
