new rims for factory tire question
i currently have 265/70/16R on my 4runner now and was wondering would 16x8 or 16x9 fit the tires or would i have to get a new set?
(i searched and couldnt find a topic exaclty like this)

The stocks are 16x8 i think (might be 7) having a wider rim will kinda make it wider in that it will have an extra inch where it mount to the rim but it will still be the same where the tread is. it will still fit fine with an inch or mabey 2 wider rims though.

alright, thanks for the info. i wanted to just get new tires to but there is still way to much tread on the ones on now. what kind of tires was you wanting to go with?

I have the same issue, my tires still have a lot of tread left so i have a little time to figure it out.
I have just started reading up on what people like and i really don't know what i will get. I know a friend of mine got BFG's on his jeep and it road a LOT better after that. but there are some others ones that people have been talking a lot about here as well. Just search for it and you should find plenty of info.
