If you still have stock shocks on your Runner they are way overdue for replacement. But I think the shocks you have would "work".
I just went through this lift, I used the 891's. I think the 890 may be too short with the tundra springs and 3/8" spacers. In anycase this lift rocks.

The OME shock are longer so you may overextend a stock shock and blow it.
I went with a full OME all around so I didn't have to worry about it (plus the ride is better because the OMEs are softer valving).

I've got OME shocks all around and 890s in the rear. They gave me atleast 3" of lift, maybe a little more. I've got the 3" Revtek in the front and the back is still a little higher so you should prob stick with the 890s if your doing the tundra lift. Also, 891s are a lot stiffer, but if you tow a lot, have an aftermarket rear bumper, or just carry a whole lot of crap in the back, they might be better for you.

so i can run my stock rear shocks untill i get some omes.
i have some billies sittin in my room but im scared it will stiffen up the rear and ruin the ride even with he tundra springs on the front. oh by the way i ordered 890's from wheelers !!! will the rear shock realy even effect the ride?

Get the matching OME HD Shocks! Also, I want to try the new 906 coil...which is SPECIFICALLY made for the 4Runner, NOT the Prado.

I have OME shocks in the back with the OME 891 coils. It rides great! Up front, I have the Billies. They'll be going away soon.

Can you return them? Are they for the front or the rear? OEM Billies or Billie HD's?

i talked to wheelers today about the 906 and they said you have to use stock lenth shocks and it only give 2" of lift. they really didnt want to sell the to me since they have had trouble with them coming out of the seat at full droop . so i stuck with the 890's

I got all my OME stuff from Mike at XtremeOff-Road. He was very nice and shipping was prompt. I prefer a firm rear, thats why I went with the 891s. I would like to hear from someone running the 906s with some trimpackers perhaps.
