New member, small problem
I'm a new member to this forum, and a relatively new Toyota owner. I bought my 98 4runner SR5 in September of 2003 and absolutely love it thus far. Since I bought it, there's been a humming sound that occurs when driving... which makes my truck sound like a UFO. Basically, it sounds like mud tires do, but my a/t's are definitely not making that sound. I was told that it may be caused by my universals. Like I said, I'm very new to Toyotas, and even more new to 4x4's in general. I come from a very different breed of vehicles, but am looking forward to this project. Thanks for any info,
Steve

There's a big group of Yotatech users in your area, Im sure they'll chime in to help with your needs. As for the noise, try lubricating the drive shaft universals, check or replace the diff fluids. Use the search engine here on this board, there is a wealth of information on any subject you need an answer to.
