you are complicating this way too much. they are a direct swap, period. i've never been the one to do this but, please try the search feature. i swapped my hood to the sport hood, i searched and found EVERYTHING i could possibly want to know about how to do it just by searching a little. you'll even find part #s and what the parts are called. i think i even posted about what parts you need and don't, since i bought all they told me to at the dealer and wasted my money on the little things. i'll try and find the post, but just type in "sport hood" and i'm sure you'll come up with a lot of threads.

Painting will also need to be done on the new stuff.

Here's a pic of the insert and such as most people don't understand why they can't just buy the hood and be done with it.

And underneath looking at the hardware that holds the insert to the hood.

You might be able to find an aftermarket capa hood from a body shop that is cheaper than OEM. Check with your local body shop.

Here's a scooped aftermarket hood but you still will need the OEM parts to complete it and I'm not sure of the hood's quality but it is only $135 so it might be worth a risk to try it.

I'm sure the hood is just one piece but you still need to purchase the insert and hardware from a dealer.
