Are you looking for the HID or the "blue" color lights? If it's the HID then you're looking at $500+ maybe you can find some cheaper. If it's the "blue" color light then you can pick them up for pretty cheap, $30 a pair is about the average.

hey you could try the piaa bulbs. i like the xtreme whites. they supposedly run at 4200k, which is what hids run at. they are a bit expensive but i think they are much better than stock bulbs. They're whiter and brighter, to me at least, but I have read lotsa things saying how these blue coated bulbs are not as bright as stock and are not worth your money. i dunno, you can find pics of them in other peoples' cars and judge for yourself. hope this helps.

If you don't mind regular color, rather than blue color. Philips Vision Plus definitely is the way to go. I had PIAA, Raybrig, & other "White" light bulb before. It work pretty well in clear weather, but as soon as it rain, I could not see more than 5 feet.

Here is where I got my Philips Vision Plus:

I second the Philips Vision Plus for H4 replacements. You can also get them from here: autolamps online for $28.00/pair.

These will put more light on the road especially in heavy rain or snow.

I installed the h4 conversion in my 89. I bought mine at P.B. (there kinda chincy in my opinyon). Hella makes a set that ought to rock! for about the same cost. Then I went to ebay and found some mtec (lifetime) bulbs that claim 4350k and the equivalent of 170/160w while only useing 100/90w!!! There kinda blue. and there really bright. but I think that the blue doesent provide eneough contrast when its wet! All of that was about $80. Any way have a look at ebay, that will give you a taist wor whats out there.

suvlights.com makes retro fit kits for 4runners... I got mine from there 500 for single beam 550 for the dual (high and low) beam.. very nice guy... very patient and very honest. Ask for Jan. tell him Daniel with the Silver '01 limited 4runner sent you.... It fits great too... also it ran 50 bucks to install it... ummmmm its very very easy to install but the only place where you might have troubles is with the hardwiring of the wires....

Thumbs up A 3rd vote

I've been running with the Philips Vision Plus bulbs for 6 months and they have been great in all weather conditions & they light up the night road signs from a long way off - big improvement from the stock bulbs.

Sylvania Silverstars will give you an equivalent improvement. Typically $30/pair after a $10 rebate at most auto stores.

I second the Sylvania Silverstars . I just purchased these a few days ago and I love em. No more "yellowish" headlights for me
