New "BruceTS" style 3rd Gen 4Runner rear bumpers
Yes, this one: ...
I'm finally getting one! :bounce2:
I've been wanting a rear bumper for a long time, but been holding out for this.
I went down to Bruce's yesterday and took my pick of the litter. Goodbye stock tin foil! He's made 10 bumpers for sale. I think a couple others are already called, but a few are still available.
Here they are:
Each one is resting on the center trailer hitch. The top pic is old, but each one does include the side hole for a re-routed tailpipe.
I'm looking to get mine put on at his house this Sunday. Removal of the stock bumper is the hardest part, these install in one piece with only a few bolts.
I won't mention the price, I'll let Bruce do that, but I'll say this - it was very right.

he mentioned it to me about a month ago, but asked me to keep it under wraps.
he wants to build-then-sell and not take orders. he wants to build them in batched on his own time when he feels like doing it and not feel obligated to "fill orders"...

I sent him $200 to hold one for me too...
how much do you think he's charging?
i'd say they shouldn't be over $650 max. it's a simple design that doesn't take much labor or materials...
i can't WAIT to get mine!

Bruce, I am interested as well. But my PM got rejected because your box is already full, so I'm guessing half of YT must be interested as well. Post up the pricing here if you would. Glad to see the man himself is making these availabe, I was looking into a close copy being made locally, this would be much much better.

Bruce!! Bruce!! Me too, please...
(odd thought for the day... if this is calrockx having fun, who wants to help me assist him in "airing down" at work for the next month or so... )

I just spoke to him and said he's thinkin about a target price range of $450 (and quite possibly get it powdercoated too for that price). He got the entire bumper pre-manufactured in pieces and all he had to do was weld everything together with his new welder that he just picked up recently.
I hope to pick up his old one!
