New To Board Got Some Questions....

i just picked up a 2000 4runner SR5 sport package. i saw in another 4runner may have been an 01 or an 02 but it had a digital display for the temperature guage for the ac. my question is is it possible to change it over as a bolt in thing or is there a difference in the wiring harness and the ecu different?

anyone can give me some info on this i really appreciate it.

also is there any site online that i can obtain the front skid plate from the 02 runner for less than the dealership $400+ price?

any good sites to get some stiffer springs for my runner i want to stay the same height as stock but just a little beefier on the spring rate.

thanks in advance!

Ok first, that digital temp control only came on limiteds and no that is not at all an easy bolt on part. You will also need all the ductwork, servo motors and wiring harness from another limited to make it work. Unless you are dying to blow some money and have lots of time on your hands, don't try it. It would be easier to go buy a limited and slap a sport hood on it.

For the skid plate try cheking on ebay, they come up for sale every now and then.

For stiffer springs you could go with the Performance Products ones but if you don't have bilistein shocks on there already, you might try those first because they are quite stiff as well. If you are worried about load capacity instead, then just go for the springs.

Why do you want to change out the digi controls?

I just installed Bilstiens with OEM springs and it's a bit stiffer than my mom's '99 Limited but still offers decetn road manners and doesn't kill your back but definetly stiffer with the Bils on.
