NEW ADDITIONS:

Wet Okole seat covers. Black with light gray (#21) in the middle. I got the pockets sewn on the back for an extra $20. I didnt like these at first because they made my tush sweat, but that was only a one time thing and now i really love these.

48" Hi-lift (actually a "Farm Jack", $35 from Northern Tool).

Magellan SporTrak Map, handheld GPS.

MAINTENANCE:

re-mounted the winch solenoid, muuuuuuuch better than the old location.

cleaned/re-packed and put hose clamps on the driver's side CV.

(before)

(during)

(after)

WHEW, i think thats it. more/pics and info on my webpage if you care.

Cv

Man, that CV leakage was pretty bad. How long has it been like that? Mine have burped a bit, actually they haven't burped any for a few days now since I cleaned them off, but nothing like that!!!!

Wet Okoles look good and why did you move the winch solenoid? Mine just sits on top in the middle of my bumper in between the lights...

it sucked becuase i had to go to Pep Boys 3 times in the middle of it. First to get small hose clamps. then i had to go becuase i decided to re-grease. then i had to go back b/c i had to break the large clamp, so i needed to buy a new one.

it was a PITA to wash my hands everytime for just a 5 min drive to the store.

other than being messy, the job wasnt a big deal.

well i found out that the leakage coming from the outer boot was from a slight tear in the boot near the clamp. I punctured the boot while trying to get the rear SAW bolt in when i installed my Revtek top out spacers (11/03). it took the boot a good 5000 miles to start leaking though. the new hose clamp covers the tear and is tight enough to hopefully prevent the book from leaking again.

the inner boot wasnt leaking bad at all. in fact, it started leaking when i had the lift at about 2.75", but it didnt leak much after i dropped it down to 2". the new clamp is a "preventative" measure.

Thank you.

i had it under the bumper, but in a different location and it was not very secure. There was no where for me to "hard mount" the solenoid on top without drilling and i want to avoid that if at all possible.

can you get me an up-close pic of how yours is mounted?

the seat cover goes over the Toyota pocket. the Wet Okole pocket is sewn to the pack of the pocket.

comparison-

Jackson's (wet okole without pockets sewn on):

now look at mine again:

Those pockets are pretty cool - were they an option? Or are they standard now?

Thanks for the pics, Ryan. That was one of the things I wasn't wild about on the WO's was losing the pockets. That is pretty awesome.

If I get those seat covers the extra $20 for the pockets will be worth it.

Talking Mount

I had to move my mount out a bit to clear the 01-02 grill, but it is just two bolts through the ARB to two brackets that bolt to the solenoid box. Nothing complicated...but I'll get you few pics soon!
