HELP! My White 4Runner Got Bird Dropping Stain
Some damn idiot bird with a major case of diarrhea (probably from eating one to many Wienerschnitzel Chili Dog) just crapped on my 4runner. It must have been on the truck for most of the day in So Cal. When I found it I wiped it off immediately with water, but it was too late. The brown crap left some yellow stain running down the rear passenger bumper.
I tried using all-purpose cleaner, dish soap, Windex. Oxy Clean, Detergent with warm water, Zymol Cleaner Wax nothing worked.
I read that Zymol HD Cleanse will probably do the trick. It costs $20 + shipping on most sites.
Does anybody have any suggestions? Will Zymol HD Cleanse do the trick?
Thanks

- dude your post made me laugh.
My first try would be Goof Off. But dont scrub too hard or you will be minus some paint. I have detailed cars for quite some time, and there are times when certain bird crap just wont come off. This might be one of them.

timber,
as far fetched as this may sound, i use creamy peanut butter w/ a toothbrush to get off old, dried up paint off my fender flares---and it works. i bet you probably have a jar in your fridge so give it a shot.

Peanut butter don't go in the fridge! at least not if you want it creamy! It's okay if you want to use it as a hockey puck...

Brian,
Who are these two guys??!?!

Go rent "Office Space". If you've been a cube dweller at any point in your life (esp the software or internet industry), these two guys will be two of your 3 cult heros by the end of the evening.

Try Mequires body scrub. It ia the only thing I use to clean stuff off my paint. It is clear coat safe but it will take the wax off so wax the spot after cleaning.
As a side note if you keep your rig waxed at regular intervals you could avoid a lot of troubles with crap on your car.

I frequently get bird "droppings" on my truck and I use the Griot's Speed Shine to wipe the crap off as soon as I see it. So far no stains.
Where I park at work, pigeons like the shade under my truck and perch on my rear spoiler and take a dump.
I am considering some "dietary supplements" for them.

Isn't the Griot's Speed Shine like the Meguiar's Quick Detailer and Zymol Quick Detailer? If so, I tried the Zymol too. Will the Griot's work better?

I also have a good coat of the Griot's BOS wax and use the Speed Shine weekly between waxes.

timber725, was your Runner waxed or polished before the Bird got it???
For most of us that use Griots or Zainos this wouldn't be a problem a little Speed Shine or the Gloss Enhancer spray would take that right off.
I would think any paint cleaner/mild rubbing compound should take it off. Just be sure and keep a few coats of good wax or polish on your Runner and you should be OK.
