Hey everyone of YotaTech! It's been awhile since I posted on here but I got me a new Toyota since my 4Runner blew up. This one just happen to be in the family since it came out and it is mine now! It is a 1996 Toyota Tacoma LX Ext. Cab 4x4 Automatic 3.4 Liter. It has 239,000 miles on it but it is solid besides the hail damage haha. The only thing done to it is a new starter, battery, plugs and plug wires, and wheels and tires. I was wondering if someone could maybe post pictures of there's so I can get and idea of what wheels to get (Preferably Black). Right now mine are on Yokohama 30x9.50R15's but I want to go up to a 31 or possibly a 33 if I lift it a few inches. Also if you guys have any cheap/free mods you can do to this motor/bodystyle feel free to post below. Thanks!

First off welcome back.

Second before you do a thing to the truck, don't make the mistake I did and just do everything you can find to it. Instead learn from my mistakes and plan out exactly what you want from the truck long term.

From there you can start your build and it will be much much more effective, cheaper, quicker, easier, and less headaches.

For the wheels, whatever you want will work although personally I would just run stock for the time being and not rush into anything, rarely do I see aftermarket wheels on there that look better then the stock Limited wheels personally.

For a lift, make sure that you want it before you do it, it is a waste if you will not actually be using it, same for larger tires, they kill all performance and the already bad gas mileage even more. Only get them if you need them. I know it is tempting but think long term here as they are no small investment.

Now for the engine, only thing worth doing NA is removing the elbow from the airbox that goes into the fender. After that either drive it or boost it, everything else is a waste of time.

If you want more umph then a high stall converter will wake things up a bit but it is a pretty big job if not already going in there.
