My new Tacoma

My diesel V-Dub is on eBay, my '95 4Runner is in my driveway with a sign in the window a bad clutch a leaky fuel sender (and nobody interested) and this

is sitting at a dealer in VA waiting for me to fly into Dulles and pick it up on Saturday.

I have not seen the truck in person and I can't wait.

Certified pre-owned, 2003, 66k miles.

Yee-Haw I'll have a truck again (Yikes, I will also cut my mileage from 40+ in the Golf to the 20 of this, but I'll have a truck!

I guess it's almost time to edit my sig.

yep,

all I had to go on were dealer's photos (and comments) and the reputation of Toyo's "Ceritified Pre-Owned" program.

Sometimes I regret not getting a Tacoma. Those things hold their value even better than 3rd Gen 4Runners (which is part of the reason why I didn't get a Tacoma).

I thought it looked lifted also, but would Toyota "certify" it if it were not stock?

Yep Rocko, I'm keeping the cap (it has a BedRug bedliner too.) I had a bid of $885 on my 'Runner on eBay. It has BRAND NEW BFG All-Terrain T/A kos (less than 200 miles) that cost me $670 with tax. I want at least $1000 for the Runner. Ebay is blocked where I'm posting from now, but I think this was the link to my listing if you want to see it. If it's not a link to a '95 Limited 5-speed I'll fix it when I get home.

Most dealerships will put on a lift for you and have it still be under warranty. That truck does look lifted, but it shouldn't really be a big deal. Looks a ton better with the lift.

My Tacoma is a 2001 ,SR5, and looks identical to that one but no top. That Tacoma is definatly lifted and ready to go. How great it is! Congrats on a good buy and one of the best trucks on the road today. Mike
PS Before you head down the road make sure you hold down the right side radio button for about 10 seconds or untel you hear a beep . Then you can adjust the sound so that it will give the impression of a really exspensive radio. I set mine of 5. and speakers at 0.

Yeah Corey, it's been a while. Now I have to learn all the tips and tricks for the Tacoma. Deck Plate mod and all that stuff.

jrallan26, just under $19k. 2003, 66k miles. I didn't try to hard to haggle a price. It was listed on the Toyota Certified page at $19,995 and on the dealer's page at the price I paid.

Okay all, what should be the top 3 mods?

I noticed the front bumper is a little lower on the driver's side. My 4Runner was the same way when I picked it up used all those (9) years ago, I bought one new bumper bracket and it was solved.

It's home!

I just pulled in an hour or so ago.

It's def lifted. I need to investigate that further.

OMEs instead of Bils

Hitch receiver in the front...is there supposed to be a tow hook to mount there, because I didn't see one in the front.

A 6 am flight to Laguardia then a two hour layover until Dulles. It took me as long to fly down as to drive back.

The BedRug and Snugtop are nice.

The Golf didn't sell. I spoke with a bidder 3 days ago and he offered me $5000. I should have taken it. It didn't meet my $4800 reserve. I had 68 people watching it. I wonder if anyone will make me an offer.

The Tacoma is for sale...I have not been on this board in YEARS...

I will be leaving the Toyota Family...but I still love the trucks

This truck was never the same after the frame swap...

They took my OME 881s and HD rears. I did not have the extra $$$ at the time to have them install my components...If I had known, I would have found the cash somewhere.

I priced it a little high, but I hope I will get a little more than $6,000 for it.

I have my eye on a 2008 Audi Avant S-line
