My new CBI Carrier
I got one too. Unfortuently, I do not like it as much as I thought I would. I cannot gain easy access to the rear of my truck, and I need to get back there on a daily basis. Oh well, I guess this will be for trail use only. I knew it wouldn't be fun getting back there, but, I still got it anyways, thought it would be okay, but, its just too heavy to screw with all the time!!
I still wish someone could make a hitch mounted carrier like this, but, that would swing out rather than down.
Also, does this carrier seem too low? I know my hitch is 2" down, but, still?

It comes with a license plate holder on the bottom, not too concerned about that.
Yeah, I doubt I will be using it around town since I do need to get back there a lot. Luckily my platform makes it so I dont have to go down into the rear, everything is elevated.
I donno its nice I guess.....

Yeah I bought it used from Shiftless. He had a 1st gen, and I didn't think it would make much of a difference. I guess it does. If I didn't have a body lift, I think it would be perfect...But, oh well. Its gonna be Baja use only hehe.

I dont know . I think it looks perfect , for what it is . You can see out your window & its not dragging on the ground . I see your point it could be higher , but all things considered .

Looks great - but functionality is usually the most important factor for me.
What about converting a swing out bike carrrier for the back. My buddy has one for his Range Rover (I think he may have bought it from them) that holds 4 bikes and is built like a tank. I have climbed on it numerous times when loadinghis roof rack - so it is sturdy as hell. May be your only option right now....
