Is my new baby a highlander?

I got this 4runner yesterday. I really don't know a lot about it other than it does have the SR5 logo on the back and it's the sport edition.

117000 miles $9100 not a horrible deal, but not great?

It's certainly nicer looking than my rusty '93.. though it ran beautifully, till the shock mount broke off of the frame.

Well, it's not a "Sport Edition", but a Highlander. It's really the same thing. In 01, they officially changed it to "Sport Edition". 2002's got a Sport Edition badge on the side.

Looks nice. You will love it. Is it an auto? Does it have a rear locker? Rear locker button is to the left of the steering wheel and says "RR DIFF LOCK" in orange (if you have it).

it is auto, and it doesn't have the rear locker. All those spots still have the plastic cover on them .

The dealer just called it "sport" because of the scoop.

The Highlander model is a version of the SR5 and the only place you can find the "Highlander" designation is on the window sticker when you buy one.

You know, the difference is amazing. that .4 of a litre give it so much more power.. with the same v6. I hope there are no speeding tickets in my future. I may actually pass slow people, where before i was always chicken because I didn't think I could accelerate fast enough to actually get past them before there was an oncoming car. The ride is a lot different too. The '93 was so rattle-y and bumpy, and this one is so smooth, and higher up.. it seems.

Fancy. Plus I'm suddenly more attractive. it must be the scoop.
