You know what's weird? The gas mileage hasn't been that bad compared to either of my 4runners. I think I was getting about 17 mpg in my 1995 runner and maybe a little less in the 1989. This thing will get filled up tomorrow and I will check it out. But, it hasn't been that bad so far (knock on wood)

'Bout time you posted some pics of your new rig Ramon.

That is very nice looking.
I like it a lot, and the color

What are your long term plans for it as far as modifications go?

Thanks for the compliments.

As far as future mods are concerned, I have a short list :

dual battery setup (Optimas)
2 more hellas pointed to the rear (have them but not installed)
Hi lift Jack and mount
Jerry cans and mount
I am going to add a floor to the roof rack (to sit or sleep on top)
ARB bumper to replace brushguard
CB and antennae
removeable ladder to access the roof rack

I also need to buy a scaffold to work on the engine. It sits high and is tought to reach towards the back of the engine. When I changed my plugs and wires, I had to sit in the engine compartment to access the last couple of plugs. Luckily, there is enough room in there to do this.

Hey what's up Ramon, remember me?
That is an awesome Landcruiser you got man. I would love to have one of those. You are one lucky guy, a 1st gen 4runner, a 2nd gen 4runner and now a Cruiser.

Do you need a spare rear drive shaft? It's pretty much new and I don't need it anymore.

Hey, man. How is everything going? Did you ever find a job? Sorry I couldn't help you out much. I wish we could have gotten something for you here.

Ramon, here is a nice older white 80 that belongs to John in my state.
http://pnw4runners.net/tando/fallrun.htm

I had the chance to wheel with him back in '99, and it's one fine rig.
35" tires he's running on it, and he's ran it in rivers with water clear to the tops of the doors with no water leaking in.

They must be a lot more water tight than other rigs, unless he did additional stuff to the doors.

I wish he had his sight up still, he owns about 5 Land Cruisers, and a few of them are the 62 series like I'd like to have.

Nice. I like the custom armor!

I am a little hesitant to throw mine in the water just yet. I am going to have to check the rest of the engine to see what I am going to ruin before swimming with it. But, i do want to test the snorkel
