Muffler Tip

Muffler Pros:
Will it do any bad to your engine if you have the exhaust tip smaller than the exhaust pipe? I mean, can I use the 1.75" - 2.0" tip on the stock exhaust with 2.25" pipe (2002 model)?

Yes, it is bad. BUT, how would you put a 2 inch tip on a 2 1/2 inch exhaust in the first place? Slip it inside? Use an adapter? If you managed to do it, it would cause restriction which is last thing you want.

I bought a very nice "Pimping" tip which has 3" inlet Diameter and the outlet diameter is 3.5" with 2" Resonator. It is a slip-on tip.

So, this should not and cannot be used???????????????

You sure you don't have it backward there? Look in it and see. EVery resonator tip I could find specs for has a resonator insert that is larger than the pipe it fits. (i.e. 3 1/2" chrome tip with 2 1/2" resonator insert fits up to 2" pipe. etc)

This is what I have.
Specs:
Fits 1-1/2"-2-1/2" exhaust pipes
3-7/8" outer diameter
3" inner diameter
2" Resonator diameter (Not really 2" though, about 1.75")
Roughly 7-8" in length
Simple, 3 turn-screw installation

looks like it's okay, the "fits 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 pipe" and the 3" inner diam is the key items.
