Hi there, I have a question regarding picking out a muffler to replace the stock and an exhaust tip too. Now I have products in mind, but theres something I'm not too sure about that i'd like to check... So i'm pretty sure that i'd like to go with the Flowmaster 40 series muffler and some sort of Stainless Steel tip (maybe Magnaflow), now this is for a 2001 4runner SR5.

Question #1: So I know I want the Flowmaster 40 but when I view them online for instance i see varying measurements (2.25, 2.5, 3", etc) which I'm guessing is for matching up with the size pipe you have but i could use some clarification for sure. So which one of the sizes will fit? also, i see there are different terms like offset, inlet, etc, which I would also like clarification on if possible. I'm an electrical guy and so I'm kind of a "noob" with this type of stuff. If someone could help me understand so I don't purchase the wrong product and possibly link me to a product (Flowmaster 40) that will fit my 4runner, that would be awesome.

Question #2: What size of Stainless Steel Tip would be best suited to go well with the Flowmaster.

If someone could help me with these questions I would be so appreciative.
