Mpg

I bought my Tacoma in Feb..When I bought it had 265/75/16 on it.Around town I was getting upper 18 and HWY/Interstate getting 21-22 mpg..About 2 months ago I put a lift on and still have same size tires..I am now getting 16.25 mpg around town and on the Interstate I am getting 17.50 mpg..I know I need to shim the axle to get the pinion level again could this cause the sudden drop in mpg..My understanding is bigger tires will cause mpg to drop I have the same size tire..I do have a vibration cause my driveshaft angle has changed I am thinking thats why they have drop..Pleaase give me some feedback on this..Thanks Patrick

What psi do run your tires at?

Maybe a check-up will diagnose the problem. Search around for things to do to get your MPG's back. Good luck.

You put your truck higher up in the air, meaning it now has more wind resistance.
