moog 81041, 81043 rear coils
I'm looking to replace my rear coils in my 96 4runner.
Moog sells two coils that would work. 81043 is stock, 81041 is 1" higher to match the taller 99 rear springs.
I was thinking about putting the taller 81041's in my truck. My old 1st gen 4runner had about 1.5" of rake and I liked it. When I was loaded up with camping gear the truck sat level and the ride was perfect.
I see there's other options, but I'm not interested in a taller lift at this point. My front end is fine and my wheeling is fairly mild these days. This is my daily driver and is more of a skiing/tow vehicle. Even with my current saggy rear end, I've been getting everywhere I need to go.
Anyone have experience with these coils? Did the stock shock work with the taller 81041 coil? How did the truck sit?
thanks!
