Looseness in my steering.

Looseness in my steering.
I have had a loose feeling in my steering for a week now and keep an eye on my tire wear (none) but have been wondering if it might be my steering stabalizer shock. What are the signs of a stabalizer going bad?

THe steering shock does not have anything to do with how tight or loose your steering feels. All it does is prevent hitting a rock from yanking the wheel out of your hands. That's it.
First, check the air pressure in the tires. (It may sound silly to some, but it's amazing how many people never do this!) Then be sure your lug nuts are tight.
Check your tie rod ends, steering arm end, pitman arm bushings and end, and ball joints. Then check your suspension arm bushings.
If I had to take a wild guess, I'd say it's most likely to be the pitman arm.
