step 2 to fitting my 285s with stock wheels without spacers

coilovers are the extended length and should give me more down travel instead of me lifting tires around curves due to stock arms and long OME shocks.

my tundra lift should be up for sale soon.

755 for both, arms are 500 new, and coiilovers are 995 new.

they are in perfect shape, no need for a rebuild and the arms are in good shape

Do you know if those red bushings on your UCAS will fit into a stock UCA?

i may run some 1 inch wheel adapters, but these 1/4 inch ones leave me less thread and that scares me.

i also dont want to go in further, i already rub at fulll lock on the rails, i used to not with my 16x8 wheels but the 5 stars look so much better imo.

I am still new to this new front end type of stuff with coilovers.

I am wondering if it is worth getting new UCAs down the road for the OME lift or not.
I see some use a uniball instead of the ball joint setup.

yeah they are uniball uppers, mine are at a nasty angle right now and I bet the upper BJs are going bad. I already had my lowers replaced but that was because of a recall. that thread is still around where they screwed me too but regardless.

I cant wait, I want to run these at Pismo during october for that run slosurfer is posted up so I can do at least some mid to high speed stuff (being no more then 40 probablly)

Corey you prob wont need UCAs for the OME, but they do help with clearence with 285s and stock wheels.

I am stepping upto 285s later, but I hear on the FJ the tires should fit OK with the stock wheels which I plan on keeping.
Never thought I would say that, but I dig the factory wheels.

If not, only the HUGE body mounts that Toyota used can be trimmed down.
Plenty of good info online about doing that on the FJ.

Got 285s on my FJ with a 3" spacer kit. So far works really good and they don't rub!!

their is one guy with a 4runner i think rr diff lock, who put on some 285 mts and without spacers on stock rims, i rub my arms at droop even with spacers, dont know how he can do that.

I got 285's w/ 3" toytech OME lift no rub at droop.... for what it's worth. But uniball is sweet for sure.
