lifts?

i have a 86' toy p/u, with ifs, which most ive read seem to despise. with all the lifts out there for these vehicles (skyjacker,rancho,trailmaster,tuff-country,superlift,downey, plus several others im sure i missed), for a moderate wheelin machine, meaning fire roads, some rocky trails etc... nothing crazy.. this is my daily driver.which would be the wisest choice?
cheapest?

33" are bout the biggest tire id run, more than likely not even that big.... runnin 235 now *dont laugh* and havent had any ground clearance problems YET!!, but of course havent tried many trails either so......

any help would be greatly appreciated ty

Lifts

A really good lift for 86 and up Toys is the Rancho lift. I read really good reviews on it.

rancho and superlift

i called a local 4x4 shop here in ga and they gave me a price on install and everything for the rancho. it was gonna be about 2500 nad that's a lil too much for me. and the superlift they won't even install b/c it pulls out ball joints adn make rigs flip easilypluss it's around 900 for just the lift. i'd go with the 4 inch procomp and now they offer a 200 rebate for it if you buy and install at 4 wheel parts.

I think your wisest choice would be none of the above. It sounds like you're not doing anything too hard. 31's come stock and you can fit 32s without much trouble. I'm not sure about the 1st gens, but I think you can just make 33s fit without a lift too. Crank your tbars slightly, put an add a leaf in the rear, and mildly trim the areas you rub.

If I were you I'd save me money and not buy a lift, buy sliders, 32s and a rear locker. You'd be way more capable then the average lifted truck. But if you're going for the look, then by all means, go for the lift.
