Leaking transfer case at driveshaft?

I have noticed that there is some fluid on the undercarriage of my truck, above the transfercase lately, but it doesnt appear to be coming from the transmission, transfer case, or brake lines or anything... It is sprayed across the whole width of the truck, so i am thinking it is coming from the driveshaft. Could the seal where the driveshaft meets the transfer case be bad? How do i fix this? It smells really bad because the fluid gets on the hot exhaust and burns.

Could be. There is a seal at the output and they are known to weep in Toyota's. Mine is doing it as I type this.

Looking through the factory service manual, it doesn't look that bad to replace on the Tacoma, I would imagine your '90 couldn't be too much worse.
