Largest deckplate for a 3.4L?
Well I'm sick and tired of having to 'warranty' new filters from AEM b/c I keep getting them all muddy. I'm going to put the stock intake back on and do the deckplate and ISR mods.
It seems like everyone uses a 4'' deckplate but I seem to recall that people have successfully used 6'' deckplates... What's the biggest that you can comfortablly fit?
Then there is the question of Air filters... I'm assuming that the OEM is the way to go? I know that K&N / amsoils can make a mess if you over-oil them...

Anything bigger than the stock intake size is plenty. There won't be any gains by going bigger.
I like the OEM filter, it flows good enough to make 10 psi of boost (with no deck plate mod BTW).
