I installed an entire fuel injection setup from a 91 into my 87 22r PU. It runs great but I get a check engine code of check 52 after driving about a mile(engine never hesitates or stalls. It runs just fine after check engine lite comes on). I have a knock sensor out of 87 22re and was thinking of trying it. Will a knock sensor from a 87 22re work on a 91 22re and ECU? Napa shows the knock sensors as has having different part numbers between 1987 and 1991.

Toyota knock sensors all interchange. You may need to splice wire as connectors vary.
