Knock sensor bypass question

Just bought a 98 limited with the 3.4 and its throwing a PO330 code.ive spent a couple hours searching/reading threads on here.I need to get it to pass inspection ASAP.From what I've read on here there is a way to bypass the bad sensor/harness using the other good sensor however I cant seem to find anything as to where the drivers side bank KS wires run into the ECM harness so that it can be temporarily bypassed.Any info is appreciated. Thanks!!

Red face

Why not fix it??

With all this research no ones shows just how to do this if it will even work interesting.

Interesting reading, pics, a link, that may help you....

Also have seen some interesting stuff with Radio Shack piezoelectric sensors, but I'm assuming if you don't have time for the actual fix at the moment (and it's often simply the wiring harness, WHY does it have to be so inaccessible???) you won't have time to figure that out, either....
if you've got something really happening that the knock sensors are picking up you want to figure that out rather than simply bypassing and leaving it. Retarded timing, gas guzzling, and gutless driving isn't a good thing.

I just bought it Wednesday. The images on that link won't pull up for me.Its going for timing belt, water pump, tensioner and valve cover gaskets in 2 weeks that's when I'll have both knock sensor harnesses replaced.I need it to pass inspection before that though.

Bypass po330 knock sensor code

Right above the 4 cam letters behind the timing cover you will see a connector that runs right over the top of the coolant piping. Disconnect the connector. Peel down the insulation that's covering up the three lines. One should be black, one should be grey and then the last one is orange. Cut a section off of the black and the grey lines and wrap them together and soder them.. finally wrap the grey and orange lines with electrical tape. Plug the connector back in. And boom your done.

Just remember soder the black and grey line together not the orange

Or you could actually fix the problem...
