Just ordered OME coils

Well after much debating and anquishing over the decision, I decided to go with the OME standard coils instead of the Downeys. The reason, I rarely go off-road, I do not ever tow, and most of the time, the back is empty. I also wanted to have a comfortable not harsh ride. Price was also a factor. Ordered them from Mike at Extreme off-road. Hope you feel better Mike and thanks for the help. Looking forward to finally getting rid of my butt-sag.

I hope you ordered a set of OME shocks as well......................

Everyone knows OME shocks and springs work together as a system. Your Rancho shocks will be more than likely way too stiff. Even OME HD shocks are quite soft.

Better call Mike.................................

I'll wait to see how they are with the ranchos and then decide.

I'm doing the same thing with my HD bils... which are probably even stiffer... I don't think I will mind too much... plus, it will help in the twisties! I don't have the addcos yet and its almost summer, so I'll probably be doing more on-road mountain driving (to work). Dread (when he had his runner) though he is the first one to say it, said he didn't mind the OMEs with the Bils... we shal see...

I'm happy with my OME891 HD coils and ProComp ES3000 combination.

i have some funky aftermarket shocks, and the SAWs up front.

the ride stiffened a lot compared to stock with 30,000 on the shocks.

it doesn't bother me at all, but i bet it would (will be, eventually) very harsh with HD Bils....

i guess this doesn't really matter at all because i have a taco and the suspension is way different. oh well im trying to contribute.

good to hear your getting rid of your sag, i don't like to see 4runners driving around with the rear end dragging on the ground.

Those procomps are probably pretty close to the OME shocks. Bilstein and Rancho are high pressure.

Try it out and if it's too stiff, you know what to do. It's an easy fix.
