Just got my 4Runner, am a happy camper

Hi all, just got my 1999 3rd generation 4Runner SR5 4WD on 3/28/07. I would like to get started on the mods. Anyone know of any good 4x4 shops in San Gabriel Valley area in SoCal? I am a complete newbie at this, but would like to do the following:

1) Lift the Runner. (This is the part that I have the least knowledge or none.)
2) New tires.
3) Safari racks.
4) Lights.
5) Fender Flares.
6) Bumper.
7) Navi and sound system.

I don't think I am going to do tons of off-roading, but I like to know if I ever venture out to the country, at least I am covered. Besides, nothing looks better than a lifted Runner.

Man that thing looks nice. Don't see very many of that color. Must've put a nice big dent in the pocket.

i swear i saw you on the freeway the other day. saturday somewhere either on the 91 west, 55 north and south, 5 north or the 57 north!!!

nice runner.

i would recommend a sonoran steel lift, probably system 7.

You forgot a mod - remove running boards.

As stated, lose the running boards.

And along the same lines, don't worry about fender flares. Gain all the clearance you can (in every direction) by losing all unnecessary obtrusions.

I think you did, I was heading to Fountain Valley on Sunday, from 57 South bound to 22.
