just bought 99 4runner, any how to's

I finally got my 4runner yesterday and love it! I want to keep it in good shape and am looking for hints and tips. I also want to install some door speakers and my amp, anybody know how? I have as well replacement speakers that go in the mirror part of the door, I just don't know how to get that all apart. So any help will be cool. It's a 99 4runner, 5spd manual, 66k miles, 4WD....thanks

jokers,

welcome.

look in the "tech" section of the forum. also, your best ally in the world is the "search" feature. search, read up, and come back w/ some follow up questions. in fact, search a few of your questions and you'll be surprised how thoroughly your questions have been covered.

if your talking about the sail panel, where the factory tweeter is, it just pops right out, just take a flat screwdriver and pry it out. as far as mounting the tweeter either you can use the factory mount, or flush mount it into the sail panel. i chose to flush mount it, but it takes a little more work. congrats on your new truck and welcome to the forum

What is the difference with mounting it in the stock spot or flush mounting it?
