" jingling " noise ??

I have a very annoying " jingling " sound coming from the vicinity of my pass front tire. It sounds like possibly a stone is caught somewhere in there. I took off the plastic cover with the Toyota insignia and the metal cover under there seems to make the same noise when I tap on it. I only hear it at slow speeds. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just noticed mine doing this too. Dropping off a video with the windows down. Nice timing on the post.

I thought I might need new pads, but they were replaced within the last 11 months. I've had a slight pull that way even after a recent alignment, so I thought it might be brake related. Could that be wheel bearings? I'd like to figure this out on my own.

Mine does it intermittently. Sometimes with the brakes depressed, sometimes without the brakes...

I feel your pain, fellas. I have the same thing happen to me as recently as today. It started about a couple months ago and it mysterioiusly just stopped, but comes and goes. I'm not sure if it's brake-related since I too just had my brakes done. I was thinking it could be related to the fact that I had just installed aftermarket wheels, Smittybilt step bars, and a muffler/tailpipe at the time I started to hear the jingling noise. I only hear it when I near a dead stop when braking, or when I'm accelerating from a stop. I hope it's not the wheel bearings, but researching this led me to believe it isn't since the sound isn't consistent w/ the bearings.

I have the something similar but its pretty loud and not a jingle really...its the power antenna though. The mounting bracket for it came off and the antenna bangs around there as well as the bracket "clinks" every now and then...

I had the same thing on my 95 4runner and I found that there is a little spring steel clip hanging on the pins holding the brake pads that was loose and jingling. I just took it out, bent it a bit to create the tension it needed and put it back. No more jingle.

I have some other metalic rattle under the passenger side that I can't find. I hit everything with a deadblow and can't duplicate it. It's really pissing me off. Any tips?

My jingling problem was solved today! Turns out (so I was told) the rusty of my rear drum brakes was peeling and was brushing the backing plate everytime the brakes were applied. Cost of fix: $35.

Hey, Guys:

There's a shield under the cataylic converter...small stones on top of it are causing the noise. Trust me.

Mine broke loose too and it was a PITA to fix....had to take the whole fender off to remount the bracket with a decent bolt.

I have a similar problem, it happens practically everytime I brake and when I am hitting any kinda of bumps on my dirt road or my fields it will make kind of a squeaking/screeching noise from the front. Not necessarily from either of the wheel wells, it sounds like it must in engine compartment somewhere. INCREDIBLY annoying!!
