Jack points and jack stand locations 2WD and 4WD 1999 4runner
Sorry if I'm being thick (I'm sure I am), but I've read the manual, my Haynes, and some back threads here, but I'm still not 100% clear on where to place the jack on my trucks. I'm still learning my way around my truck. I've taken some photos, so can someone help me get this correct? I'm interested in both jacking up a tire to change it, and putting the truck on jack stands for working on it or rotating tires.
Where's the correct front jacking point on the front end of a 2WD? Haynes says "under the frame rail, where the crossmember is attached." Do I have any of these correct? How about locations to place jack stands?
Haynes says for the 4WD, "under the front suspension crossmember." One of these?
On the rear of the 2WD and 4WD, if I want to jack up both sides at once, I can put the jack on the rear differential (right arrow). If I'm only wanting to raise one rear wheel, or if I'm placing a jack stand, should I go with the left arrow or the center one?

I stumbled upon this page from the FSM that someone shared on here when I was wondering the same thing. If you're going to jack up the rear end I would say just do it from the center of the diff all the time. Just doing one side seems like it might be unstable.
