Intermittent No-Start

My daughter just picked up a 1998 forerunner 4cyl 2WD. It has electric windows/doors, but she does not have a fob remote. It also has some funky alarm antenna at the upper left windshield. There is no functioning alarm. I have replaced the starter, starter relay and cleaned all connections and tested all fuses. The engine purrs like a kitten.
With that said:
It always starts up it the morning. But every once in awhile, after driving the car, it won't start. She has had to wait as long as 2 1/2 hours before it would start. Jumping the car does not help. The starter, solenoid and relay are good. Banging the starter does not help.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My son had this same problem with his Honda. We discovered his new starter had a bad connection inside his solenoid, so power didn't get to the solenoid from the ignition switch. The solenoid and starter tested fine, but replacing them has ended his intermittent start.

No codes. Does not crank. This is only after the engine has ran for awhile. I have ran Multiple tests on the starter, solenoid and relay. They are all good.

I'm glad the starter is easy to replace on this truck. My local parts store doesn't like seeing me much. I have returned and replaced the starter 2x. They have given me a new, not rebuilt, starter because of my efforts. It still has the same problem.

Replacing a part without verifying that it is defective and that it will solve your problem is a waste of time and money.

So no crank, correct?
Need to find schematic of our cranking system and understand how it works.
Share it with us so we can sugegst where to test.

This and that relay should click, and this and that solenoid should thunk, and starter motor should turn.
Got a better description of the problem when it occurs?
What do you see, hear, feel?
What makes you say " starter, solenoid and relay are good"?
How does the starter relay click feel, sound or not sound?
How does the starter solenoid click, feel, sound or not sound?
What voltages are you getting at various points.

I wonder some sort of heat related problem in the transmission harness the opens the neutral safety circuit??

Yes, possible. Higher temp means higher resistance, mechanical gaps may expand. Part may have high resistance and causes voltage drop across it, but still allows enough current to operate starter relay/ solenoid. However, when it heats up, resistance may rise, gaps between contacts may widen, causing more voltage drops, reducing power that goes to parts above.

Need schematic.

This seems logical since the engine is always hot when this happens. Thanks.
