Talking Interior Light Mod

The other day I was walking through my kitchen and stumbled upon some clear green paper (like transparency paper). I saw someone do this with amber on their map lights, but I wanted to do it all (except the very back light by the tailgate) so I did. Here's a pic:

It really throws more light than it looks like in the pic.

Very cool. I think red though would be a better color, though. Might have to find some myself.

Go to your hobby store and get some glass paint in the color you want.

That looks pretty good! But LSUMatt1514 is right about the whole melting part.

They make a similair sort of stuff for theatrical lighting. It's cellophane type stuff so that you can make color changes... that stuff stands up to REALLY hot lights, and doesn't melt, so i bet that would be an option

My lights aren't on very long, only 15-20 seconds at a time so they don't get very hot. I'm not too worried about it melting.
