Interior Light

I had a electrical problem with my truck this winter and fried the interior wiring harness, I replaced the wiring harness, and still don,t have interior lights or fuel gauge, the sendinf unit is on order. As for the lights go I have noe power going to the lights themselves but if I put power at the light it works. The intergration relay is new and I have power at the dome fuse. The other thing is if I plug in the door switches and open the doors with the key on I blow the gauge fuse. Can I just bypass the intergration relay and bring power to the interior light harness or will this cause a problem. Can these door switches short out or can it be something else. I don't think it can be anything else because the whole harness and components are new. What do you guys think?
